The Seafood Village comprises 20 modern processing units in its own self contained park adjacent to Yearsley Cold Stores on the Dock Estate and is attracting interest from other fishing centres seeking to modernise their processing facilities, recently welcoming visitors from Devon, the Isle of Man and Boulogne.
Businesses on the site have settled in well and report very good feedback from visitors. Chill Fresh Fish, a new business, is rapidly becoming established as a significant employer on the Seafood Village. Cornwall Transport have invested heavily to provide a fully chilled Fish Reception area, MW Seafoods is providing a service grading wholefish which is proving popular with processors wishing to refine current grades to quickly extract fillet sizes required for their business and Sampac is providing packaging to local businesses and offers a first class service.
